Good Evening blog.   It has been a longer day than usual... mostly due to an inspection in progress going on at work.  It will be a long couple of weeks.  I wish I could say that I was happy to come home and spend some time with the family, but that was sort of thrown out of the window when I was informed that I would be putting my daughter to sleep only.  My wife is out drinking or something.  Pretty inconsiderate given the nature of my day and the posture I will be in for the next half of the month.  These sort of things have been happening more and more with her.  I think it is partly due to my nagging on her for getting out and doing more things ( most of which I was referring productive, meaningful, and self help type of things) , instead it is mostly just going out and partying. The other part may be due to her newer friend who more than likely makes her feel a little more easy about just saying whatever and doing what will make her happy ( in the mean time).  This all may come to an end in the next few months.  Fingers crossed things will work out the RIGHT WAY.  My opinion of the right way is to have some time a part and see where the time and decisions lead us from there.  Amy has no idea about work or ethics regarding it, so it would be hard to see her struggle... especially with Lucy.  Lucy is number one priority, always.  But if that means staying with someone who I am so up and down about, then the time apart would make sense.  Other than flying today and doing some promotion studying, I came home, finger picked some guitar and am now on the couch about to fall asleep.  I hope tomorrow's end turns out better than tonight's.

Well hello Blog.  It has been some time since I have even looked at this page, let alone update it with anything interesting or new that nobody would see anyway.  A lot has been going on in the last year.  My daughter is getting large and developing more of a personality. I love it.  My wife Amy is being good with her while I am constantly away.  Me and Amy are on and off again with the bickering and fighting about everyday things and occurrences. Who knows if any of that will ever change.  Our time here in England is coming to an end and I am glad to say that I am ready and excited.  A move back to the US is what needs to take place... for a lot of reasons. It has been a stressful year thus far and the letting up is in sight. I have grown some gray hairs. Wow... I am barely about to turn 24 years old.  I have picked up the guitar quite a bit more, starting to get my groove back.  I have really taken particular interest in gear to include tube amps/ over drive pedals/ speakers/ etc. Not that I didn't know what any of those thing ever were, I am just taking playing a lot more seriously and committing myself to playing once I get to the states. My Emperor cab is in the factory being built right now, and I am extremely excited for it. A kick start to a new rig.  Well I just wanted to re-open this forum for myself to express my feelings mostly (in the coming days). I am reminding myself right now to always include what music I have been listening to lately, books I've been reading, or movies I have been watching. So here it is.
As of late: Melvins-Melvins
                  Ken Mode- Reprisal
                  Altar of Plagues- Mammal
Currently (literally right now): Anhedonist- Netherwards

Almost hit these at 220 knots a couple of times. Fun times...

A Sun That Never Sets

It was a dark, chilly, and deviant night not too long ago ( oh, I would say about 4 years ago) that I hopped on the NJ Transit bus headed to central Philadelphia is high hopes that Relapse Records would have the new Mastodon-Blood mountain album ready for my purchase. They did, and it was one of 100 or so prints that came in the red and blue swirl combo. Score. I could tell the guy behind the counter was apprehensive to sale it after we took a quick glance knowing that it was quite possibly the coolest fucking thing within arms reach between him and I. I was only looking to maybe get lucky with a clear or full red one.  After talking for awhile, I decided to take a look around and see if anything would catch my eye in the roughly 30 minutes I had left before I had to meet a good friend (at the time) in West Philly to catch a show at the First Unitarian church.

As I broke away from looking at the time on my cell phone, I decided to look at a few more albums and see if I could find the new Saviours while I still had the time.  Sitting right above the S-Z section of the Cd's left of the check out counter were a few Dvds. One was the Relapse Contamination tour 2003 Dvd which I already had and next to it was what made my eyes widen and produce a shitty grin. It was Neurosis' full length album ' A Sun That Never Sets' on dvd. Personally, this thing is a masterpiece. I say that because of how powerful the album was in itself. The visuals are punishing in how you can easily get lost in them and the audio turned out great on surround sound. When I first watched it, I chose to plug my headset into the receiver and blast away. Good decision that was! To this day I pull it out once ever few months and watch it all the way through with no intended interruptions.

And....... Happy (Early) Birthday to my wife Amy!
